Some of this will seem obsessive on my part, but you can't imagine how many hours I have spent on this project. Do not send me money for any reason. The request process defrays my costs and puts some burden on requestors.

A few families have shared lots of material and do not need to use the process below; just send me your requests and I'll ship the CDs. These are McInerney-Verelley, Murphy-Robson, McGee-Wemesfelder and Sugar. The rest of youse, read on.

B&P - Blanks and Postage: You send me blank CDs and you pay shipping costs, and I send you audio CDs.

If you have recordings that aren't on my list, I'll trade you some of my recordings for yours, see "Sharing Your 1970s Analog Recordings" below.

1. Look through the list of recordings. Each row shows the contents of one CD. There may be multiple events, different groups, and different dates on a single CD. Determine your desired CDs. I cannot fulfill requests for individual songs.
2. On the web page that lists the recordings, enter your name, address, phone number, and email address in the boxes, and check the boxes next to the CDs you want. The web page will keep track of your desired CDs (and you can un-check boxes to remove a requested CD). When you have checked all your desired CDs, click the email link to pop up an email window. Your personal info, request list, and instructions will appear in the email. With some web browsers, the checkboxes won't work correctly, so you will need to type or write the CDs on a separate sheet of paper with your name, address, phone number and email address, and save this sheet for a bit later.
3. There is no limit, but large requests could take a long time to fulfull.
4. Send the email (preferred) or US Mail (if you can't use email) with your request and I will confirm your request. Continue with these instructions, but don't ship me blank CDs until I confirm your request.
5. Purchase enough blank CDs to cover the CD count for your request. You should be able to find blank CDs at drug and grocery stores as well as computer and office supply stores. They come in various types of packages. The CDs might be packaged with jewel cases - that's OK, but not required. You can get a stack of CDs with no jewel cases. If you get jewel cases, send me the disks but not the jewel cases. The cases are fragile and increase the postage cost.
6. Look for this type of disk: CD-R, 80-min / 700 MB, 8x or higher.
7. Don't get these: CD-RW, DVD (R, RW, etc.), 74-min / 650 MB, 7x or lower, hard plastic jewel cases.
8. CD/DVD envelopes are nice, but optional.
9. Purchase a bubble envelope large enough for the request list and blank disks. Purchase a plain envelope large enough to contain the bubble envelope.
10. Address the bubble envelope to your own address. Do not seal the bubble envelope. The return address will be mine,
    
11. Put the disks and papers in the bubble envelope - do not seal the bubble envelope. Put enough postage on the bubble envelope for me to send the materials back to you after I burn the CDs. The post office can weigh the package and sell you the postage. Do not use return receipts or other mailing options that would require me to visit a post office.
12. Do not seal the bubble envelope. Put the bubble envelope inside the larger envelope. Address the large envelope to me, seal it, and (after I have confirmed your email request) mail the package.

If you live near me and wish to exchange in person, that's fine, just contact me to arrange a time.

When I receive the package, I will burn the audio onto your blank CDs and ship the results back to you in your stamped bubble envelope. I will seal the bubble envelope! Normally, I'll separate the disks with paper and I'll include track listings cut to fit a CD case.

I will provide standard audio CDs. These can be used to download tracks for your portable music players (IPods and other MP3 players). The instructions for this came with your player.
